MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to provide developmental and instructional programs and events to help to develop and improve their basic motor skills of running, jumping and throwing, the skills that are essential for development in any sports or fitness activity. Spring-Klein Athletics provide opportunities for youth through camps, and both developmental and competitive programs. By managing, supporting and funding area youth football, track and field, cross country and running programs, Spring-Klein Athletics seeks to establish a platform for improving each child's personal fitness and athletic aspirations.

Welcome to Spring-Klein Athletics Foundation, Inc!

The Spring-Klein Athletics Foundation, Inc (SKAF) runs several youth sports programs in the Spring and Klein Texas Area. Our goal is to maximize youth sports opportunities throughout Spring and Klein, Texas and create the best possible environment for youth who participate in sports. Providing sport services and opportunities to under-served populations is a SKAF priority.

COACHING PHILOSOPHY

Spring-Klein Athletics Foundation, Inc is committed to creating a well-balanced athletic program that encourages youth to not only perform well on the field, but pursue excellence in the classroom and to develop a strong since of self and character. We believe participating in sports can help youth:

  • increase self-confidence and self-esteem
  • promote higher academic performance
  • unify community and build a bridge between people from different backgrounds
  • improve and develop habits for life-long health
  • contribute to the development of the total student athlete, essential to the character-building process
  • assist young boys and girls in becoming successful citizens in our highly competitive society

We believe that sports are a gift from God and participation in sports is always to be to His glory. We acknowledge that participation in the SKAF sports program is totally voluntary, is a privilege, and is open to eligible youth without discrimination on the basis of sex, color, race, religion, or national and ethnic origin.

A well-balanced community-based youth athletic program is built on a strong foundation. This foundation includes three critical components:

  • A comprehensive program that emphasize active lifestyles for all children
  • Developmental Athletic Programs in which children have an opportunity to practice and further refine specific athletic skills that they have learned in physical education classes
  • Competitive Athletic Programs that promote and develop good sportsmanship, team play, competitive spirit, and team loyalty

With a focus of on good sportsmanship through competitive activities where skill development, teamwork, team achievement and personal growth are emphasized SKAF strives to create a positive, beneficial experience for our youth!
